Bluebird - Sir Malcolm Campbell (1885-1948)

272-108 MILES PER HOUR AT DAYTONA BEACH ON FEBRUARY 22nd 1933, a charming typed letter signed in ink from Sir Malcolm Campbell to Douglas Crawford dated 20th of March 1933, with attached Western Union Authorizes the acceptance of Collect Cablegrams presented by Sir Malcolm Campbell Addressed Daily Mail, London. Until 30 June 33 unless otherwise ordered and attached black and white photograph of the Bluebird car, all three elements mounted on a paper backing 28.5cm x 19.5cm, together with a slightly larger black and white photograph of the Bluebird car, 14cm x 24cm (2).

Provenance - The vendors Grandfather, Douglas Crawford was a Journalist working for The Daily Mail in the early part of the 20th century, the lot has been directly passed down through the family.
