A Mauchline ware oblong snuff box, the hinged cover with finely drawn penwork scene of a turreted castle with arched gateway within wooded landscape (probably Castle Fraser, Aberdeenshire), the sides and base with lattice pattern, stamped with indistinct maker’s mark inside lid, early 19^th century, 8.3cm wide.
