A late 18th / early 19th century oak longcase clock, Smoult & Gilbertson, Newcastle, the 11" square brass dial with Arabic numeral chapter ring, the twin train four pillar movement striking on a bell, enclosed within a hood with spiral carved columns, the case carved all-over with stylised dragons, fruit, acorns and foliage raised on bracket feet, weights and pendulum present, 203cm high.
